X-mas gift: Wooden Writing Box Antique Walnut Wood Box Set with Pen

Thanks Mariela and Casey for this neat X-mas gift!  This antique style wooden writing box can comfortably hold 4 sketching pens in their own individual storage compartments.  It came with a ceramic ink well and a wooden dip pen.  Since I work on a slightly inclined drawing board, pens and pencils often tend to roll away. The swiveling compartments easily fix that problem, and they are long enough to hold even a Caran D'Ache Museum Fixpencil 44 leadholder.
With its sliding cover, the box can keep a few favorite pens or pencils out-of-sight, but still close at hand and free of dust.
While it was fun playing with the dip pen and some J. Herbin India Ink on some smooth bristol for a quick doodle, I really do not have the patience required for drawing with a dipping pen on a regular basis.  The experience does increase my appreciation for how much work and effort the artists of the Old World had to invest in creating their illustrations and ink drawings.  All in all, I'm pretty happy with my new desk top organizer.
