Stad One Push Pencil Holder Video Review

My latest order from Jet Pens arrived today. So here is a quickie review before I have to hit the road.
Quick facts on the Stad One Push pencil holder: Made in China. Aluminum construction. Comfortable Grip. Push-button mechanism open clutch jaws to hold pencil stubs ranging from 15 mm to 85 mm (roughly 3/4" to a little over 3"). Features a small eraser under push button.Video review. UPDATE: Thanks to a question in the comments section, I have done a few more fit tests with different pencil brands and confirmed that the Stad One Push holder can hold standard size wooden pencils like the Faber Castell 9000, Tombow Mono, Tombow Mono 100, Tombow Mono-R Ippo, Mitsubishi Hi-Uni, Mitsubishi Penmanship pencil, Caran D'Ache Technalo, California Republic Palomino, Rhodia pencil, and even fine artist pencils like Caran D'Ache Pablo and Supracolor. For wider diameter pencils like the Caran D'Ache Grafwood, Derwent Drawing, Faber Castell Albrecht Durer and Polychromos pencils, I would recommend trying the silver Derwent pencil extender.

I saw it on other sites, I liked it, but is it a little bit too heavy compare to the wooden pencil?

Actually since it is basically a hollow aluminum tube, this holder is quite light. Feels probably lighter than the original full-length wooden pencil.

Thanks for the review, it's really helpful! Would this Stad pencil holder be able to hold a Faber Castell polychromos colored pencil? Or are they too thick for this holder? Thanks! :)

I fear that they might be too thick, but I can't confirm it until I return to my studio next week. If that were the case, the carded set of Derwent pencil extenders would certainly be able to handle the Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils diameter since they can fit regular smaller Derwent pencils and the wider Drawing and Coloursoft pencils.

Just did a quick check and the STAD One Push holder opening is too narrow to fit the Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. The silver Derwent pencil extender does work with it though.

Thanks for checking for me if the polychromos pencils fit, that helps a lot! And thanks for all the reviews in general, your site rocks! :)
