Alvin Brass Bullet Pencil Sharpener Spotlight

Just got a few extra art supplies to complete my latest Blick's order of refill Pitt artist pens. I figured might as well try a couple of new things to expand my sketching kits, for it would also give me something to blog about.
"Small but mighty" would be the words I'd use to describe the Alvin Brass Bullet Pencil Sharpener. Despite being quite small, it feels quite substantial given its heft and sturdy brass construction.
Had a dozen of blunt Tombow Mono pencils on hand, and the Alvin sharpener restored their sharp points quite efficiently. It also worked well sharpening Derwent Watercolour and Graphitint pencils. Its knurled finger grips make it easy to hold it comfortably and securely.
This brass sharpener is a tad more compact than a KUM magnesium block sharpener. The Alvin brass sharpener did a beautiful job sharpening the set of Wolff's Carbon pencils.
Another fine product of German engineering with its country of origin proudly engraved on the bottom. Got it with a supply of six spare stainless steel blades, so it should provide service for awhile so long as I don't misplace it or lose it. Worth adding to a field sketching kit.
