Found some Dixon Markette caricature markers in Toronto!

Searching for some Faber Castell Pitt Artist pens at the last minute as part of wedding errands in Toronto, I stumbled upon a nice local art supplies store. It was so well-stocked and neatly organized, that we were able to find the object of our quest in no time.
Right below the Faber-Castell pens display, I spotted bins loaded with the much sought Dixon Markette markers favored by caricature artists. Since they are next to impossible to find in the USA, I got 8 of them to try and develop my marker sketching skills. At first impression these wide grip metal markers are quite sturdy and create nice dark lines. They do seem ideal for working outdoor or in well-ventilated areas, since they give off a strong solvent smell.

Another great art shop in Toronto is Midoco Art & Office Supplies. They've got two locations and oodles of art products. Check it out at http://www.midoco.ca

Update 08/28/2010 - Looks like DeSerres no longer carries the Dixon Markette, for it has vanished from their website.
